Roper Kia is hiring for a Cashier position that works with both the office and service department to help assist guests with service tickets and title paperwork.

+ Overview

The role of the cashier at Roper Kia is to be a friendly face and assist with guests needs relating to the completion of the service visit and picking up of title paperwork after a vehicle purchase. As a hub in the dealership, this position requires flexibility, collaboration and a positive attitude.

+ Essential Job Functions

  • Work with service advisors on preparing customer paperwork and collection of payment at the completion of a visit.

  • Scan Service ROs and signed title paperwork into database system.

  • Collaborate with the finance department on the collection of down payments for vehicle purchases.

  • Balance cash drawers and prepare end of day reports.

  • Assist in answering phone calls and directing guests to appropriate personnel.

  • An ability to be flexible and to easily pivot as tasks require. The cashier window can be a fast-paced environment and may necessitate managing a variety of tasks.

+ Education and Experience

  • Knowledge and comfortability of working on a computer daily.

  • Ability to count money, and basic knowledge of preparing a deposit for the bank.

  • Previous guests service experience

  • Willingness to work as a part of a larger team to meet the needs of our guests in relation to vehicle purchases and service work.

+ Compensation and Benefits

  • The cashier position will be full-time and work Tuesday-Saturday from 9am-6pm.

  • Hourly rate for this position is based on previous experience.

  • Working on Saturday will be required. All requests for time off will be considered based on office personnel schedules.

  • Roper Kia is closed on 5 major holidays: New Years Day, Memorial Day, July 4th, Labor Day and Christmas Day. Additional days may be added at the discretion of the Executive Team.

  • Employees are eligible for health insurance after 60 days and vacation days after 1 year. Additional life and health insurance is also available.

Hours of work

This position will work from 9:00am-6:00pm Tuesday-Friday and 9am-5pm on Saturdays. Roper Kia is closed on Sunday.

Overtime expectations

Any overtime should be approved ahead of time by department manager.

Work environment

The cashier will work in the cashier window right inside the service area. The office space is shared with the Service Scheduling Team.

Dress requirements

All office employees will dress in business casual during the week. On Friday and Saturday, nice jeans may be worn. Roper Kia polos can also be purchased to wear.
